What it does in OrqLabs
OrqLabs connects to Dropbox through the official Dropbox API v2 and the OAuth consent screen – your password never reaches us, and the access token is refreshed automatically. The connection is per project, so each brand can use its own Dropbox account.
The Dropbox node offers three operations: Upload file saves text (a report, caption or JSON) as a file, or downloads a file from a URL (image, clip, PDF – up to 150 MB) to the path you give; Create shared link returns the public shared link plus a direct download URL; List folder returns the files in a folder as separate items.
What you can automate
Report archive
The weekly GA4 or strategy report is saved as a dated file in
/OrqLabs/reports/and the link is posted to Slack.Image and clip backup
AI-generated images or designs exported from Canva are downloaded from their URL and kept in Dropbox for good.
Shared links
The public link and direct download URL of the saved file are used in later email or message steps.
Work through a folder
List folder returns every file in a folder as its own item, so a workflow can write a caption or prepare a post for each one.
Nodes that use this integration
In the workflow editor these nodes run with your Dropbox account.

Requirements

Requested permissions
account_info.readfiles.metadata.readfiles.content.readfiles.content.writesharing.readsharing.write
Good to know
- Files are uploaded in one request, up to 150 MB.
- Changes in Dropbox do not start workflows – there is no trigger.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if a file with the same name exists?
By default the existing file is kept and the new one is renamed, e.g. name (1).md. With Overwrite on, the file is replaced.
Is the shared link public?
Yes – Create shared link creates a public view link that anyone with the link can open. If a link already exists, that link is returned.
Can I limit access to one folder?
If the platform app is registered with App folder access, OrqLabs only sees its own folder under Apps; see the Dropbox guide.
