Weekly GA4 review & strategy update
Every Monday at 07:00 the last seven days of Google Analytics 4 data and Instagram post metrics are collected. The Analytics Strategist evaluates the results against your goals, proposes strategy changes and sends them to you for approval.

What this template does
Looking at a Google Analytics dashboard and turning it into decisions are two different jobs. Every Monday this template collects the last seven days of GA4 data and Instagram post metrics and hands them to the Analytics Strategist. The agent evaluates results against your goals and the previous equal period, and spells out with numbers what worked, what didn't and why.
It then proposes concrete changes to the project's strategy document: topic weights, channels and posting frequency, best times, KPI targets and experiments. The strategy document is the shared memory of all agents; the Content Creator reads its topic mix and the Social Publisher its posting times. That's why Apply changes automatically is off in this template and the agent never writes to the document on its own.
The GA4 and social metrics nodes don't use AI; cost only comes from the agent step and is capped by the $4 run budget. Because Google Analytics data takes 24–48 hours to settle, a Monday morning run covers most of the previous week.
Step-by-step flow
- 01
Monday 07:00
ScheduleRuns every Monday at 07:00 (Europe/Istanbul) and starts both data branches at the same time.
- then → GA4 last 7 days
- then → Social media metrics
- 02
GA4 last 7 days
Google Analytics reportPulls sessions, users, conversions and engagement rate for the last seven days from Google Analytics 4, broken down by date and default channel group. This node uses no AI.
- 03
Social media metrics
Get post metricsFetches impressions, likes, comments, shares and clicks for your Instagram posts from the last seven days.
- 04
Merge
MergeCombines the rows from both branches into one list in “append” mode, with the social data wired to the node's second input. The agent sees traffic and social data together.
Evaluates the data against your session and conversion goals and the previous period, writes up what worked with evidence and proposes strategy changes. With auto-apply off it doesn't touch the document; it prepares the proposal as a readable diff and saves an analytics review report.
- 06
Approve strategy changes
Request approvalThe proposed changes land on the Approvals page as a readable diff. Approve and the run moves on to the notification; reject and the run ends here.
- if approved → Notify owner
- 07
Notify owner
Notify teamSends an in-app notification and an email titled “Weekly analytics review ready” with a link to the report.
How to customise it
- Switch the platform on the social metrics node to your main channel, or add a second Get post metrics node through an extra Merge.
- Add a Search Console queries node to include organic search data.
- For sites with fewer than 500 sessions a week, choose the 28-day period on both the GA4 node and the agent; the results are more reliable.
- Put guardrails in the agent's task, for example “Don't change channel weights by more than 15% at once”.
- Once you've trusted the proposals for a few weeks, you can turn on Apply changes automatically and remove the approval step; keeping it off for the first 4–6 weeks is recommended.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use it without Google Analytics?
The template's GA4 node needs a Google Analytics connection and fails without one. If you disable the GA4 node, the agent works with social data only, but it can't evaluate traffic or conversion goals.
Will my strategy document change on its own?
Not with this template: auto-apply is off and the agent only proposes. If you turn it on, the agent writes changes straight into the document; you can always edit the document by hand too.
Why does it run on Monday morning?
GA4 data takes 24–48 hours to settle, so 07:00 on Monday covers most of the previous week and your team starts the week with a fresh review. You can change the time in the cron field.
Which goals can it track?
The agent can focus on sessions, engaged sessions, conversions, leads and engagement rate. Write your goals in the project with numbers and dates and it can answer “are we on track?” clearly.
