Use cases
GA4 reporting automation: a weekly Google Analytics report that explains the numbers
In OrqLabs, GA4 reporting automation goes beyond copying tables: Google Analytics data syncs daily, the Analytics Strategist reviews results against your goals every week and proposes strategy changes, and the Report Writer turns it all into a readable weekly digest for the business owner.
The challenge
The same spreadsheet every Monday
Exporting from GA4, pasting into a sheet, refreshing charts… building the weekly Google Analytics report by hand costs the same hours every week.
Numbers without meaning
Seeing that sessions dropped is easy. Saying whether it's a real decline, a small sample or a one-off spike – and what to do about it – is a different job.
Data lives in silos
Web traffic sits in GA4, social engagement in each platform's dashboard, campaign and lead results in other tools; getting one picture means stitching them together.
Reports get read, plans don't change
If findings never flow back into topics, channel mix and posting times, the report is just another document for the archive.
How OrqLabs handles it
Daily sync and the Analytics page
Data from the GA4 property you connect – sessions, users, page views, engaged sessions, engagement rate and more – is pulled every day; because GA4 data arrives late, the most recent days are rewritten. Results appear on the Analytics page and in your statistics.
GA4 reports inside workflows
The GA4 report step pulls the metrics and dimensions you choose (e.g. date, channel group, landing page) for the last 7, 28 or 90 days or a custom range. The KPI threshold check step compares a metric with a threshold or with its % change versus the previous period and routes the flow to “above” or “below”.
The Analytics Strategist explains
The agent compares the period with the previous one and with the targets in your strategy document, and builds a KPI table with current value, previous value, change and target. It explains what worked and what didn't by channel, topic, format and time slot, separates small samples and one-off spikes from real trends, and says plainly what the data can't tell.
The Report Writer summarizes
A weekly or monthly digest brings together traffic and conversions, social media, leads, the chatbot and what the agents did, with costs. It's short and plain for a business owner, detailed for a marketing team, and every number is compared with the previous period or a target.
Connected to the strategy document
With Apply changes automatically off (the default), the Analytics Strategist leaves the strategy document alone; it proposes at most 3–5 incremental changes with evidence and notifies you. Turn it on and the agent writes the changes itself, bumping the version; the Content Creator and other agents read the new strategy on their next run.
Example flow
A Schedule trigger starts the workflow every Monday at 07:00 (Europe/Istanbul).
GA4 report pulls the last 7 days of sessions, users, conversions and engagement rate by date and channel group; in parallel, Get post metrics fetches Instagram post metrics.
Merge combines both sources into one stream.
The Analytics Strategist reviews the period against your goals, writes the analytics review report and proposes strategy changes.
Request approval shows you the proposed changes on the Approvals page.
Once you approve, Notify team announces the weekly review in-app and by email; add a Report Writer step if you also want a digest for the business owner.
Things to keep in mind
GA4 data arrives late
GA4 data is usually 24–48 hours behind, which is why the template runs on Monday morning. For low-traffic sites, a 28-day period gives more reliable conclusions.
The right ID and access
You need the GA4 property ID (
properties/123456789), not the measurement ID starting withG-. A Viewer role on the property is enough, and access is read-only. Legacy Universal Analytics properties aren't supported. Details: Google Analytics 4 integration.Conversions are defined in GA4
The conversions metric comes from the key events you mark in GA4. If none are defined, conversions stay empty and recommendations rely on traffic alone.
Turn on auto-apply gradually
Keep auto-apply off for the first weeks and read the proposals. You can give a saved Analytics Strategist limits such as “never change a channel weight by more than 15% at once”, and you can always edit the strategy document by hand in the project settings.

Frequently asked questions
Can the weekly Google Analytics report arrive by email?
Yes. When the report is ready, the Notify team step sends an in-app notification, email, Slack or Telegram message; the full report lives on the Reports page.
Does OrqLabs change any settings in my GA4 account?
No. The connection only uses the analytics.readonly scope; OrqLabs reads data and never changes anything in GA4.
Which GA4 ID do I need?
The numeric property ID from Admin → Property details in GA4, entered as properties/123456789. The measurement ID starting with G- won't work.
Can I get separate reports for several sites or brands?
Yes. The GA4 connection is per project: each brand connects its own property to its own project, and reports are produced per project.
Are strategy changes applied automatically?
Not by default. The Analytics Strategist proposes changes and you review them and update the strategy document. Once you trust it, turn on auto-apply and it writes the changes itself.
