Gumroad integration: a workflow for every sale

What it does in OrqLabs

OrqLabs connects to Gumroad through API v2 and an access token. When you connect, it subscribes to Gumroad's sale notifications (the sale resource subscription), so every sale and membership renewal starts a workflow.

Gumroad doesn't sign its notifications, so OrqLabs adds an unguessable secret parameter to the notification URL and checks it on every request. Workflows start with the product name, amount, quantity, buyer name and email, variants, custom fields, offer code and renewal details. The same sale is never processed twice.

The Gumroad node lists recent sales by product, buyer email and date range, and reads your products with their price and sales count.

Setup at a glance

  1. In Gumroad, create an application named OrqLabs under Settings → Advanced → Applications.

  2. Click Generate access token on the application and copy the token.

  3. In OrqLabs, go to Integrations → Gumroad → Connect, pick the project and paste the token – the sale subscription is set up automatically.

  4. Pick GUMROAD · New sale in the Integration event trigger and try the workflow with a 100%-off test purchase.

Good to know

  • Only the sale event is a trigger in this version; refunds, disputes and membership cancellations are not supported.
  • Sale notifications don't always include a currency; the amount is in the product's price currency.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to fill in Gumroad's Ping setting?

No. OrqLabs subscribes to sale notifications through the API itself; the Settings → Advanced → Ping field is a separate feature.

How is it secure if notifications aren't signed?

The notification URL carries a secret parameter only OrqLabs and Gumroad know; requests without it, or with a wrong one, are rejected.

Do free products start workflows too?

Yes. Gumroad reports free downloads as sales, with an amount of 0.
