ActiveCampaign integration: turn leads into contacts and deals, send newsletters from it
Connect your ActiveCampaign account with its API URL and key. Leads sync as contacts, tags and deals, newsletter subscribers are imported into a list and campaigns go out from your own account, and anyone who subscribes to a list can start a workflow.

What it does in OrqLabs
The Sync to CRM node creates or updates leads as ActiveCampaign contacts by email, writing first and last name, phone and the custom fields you map. Tags from the lead and the integration settings are added to the contact (created when missing). If you pick a list, the contact is subscribed to it, but anyone who unsubscribed from that list before is never resubscribed. With the deals target, a deal is also opened in the pipeline and stage you choose.
In the Newsletter module, confirmed subscribers are added to the list through bulk imports of 250. A few minutes later OrqLabs creates and sends the campaign through ActiveCampaign's v1 API, because the v3 API can't send campaigns; a failed send is never retried automatically. Opens, clicks, unsubscribes and bounces are read from the campaign.
In workflows, the ActiveCampaign node adds contacts, adds or removes tags and creates deals; adding a tag starts ActiveCampaign automations. When you connect, a *subscribe* webhook is created, and the Integration event trigger starts a workflow for everyone who subscribes to a list.
What you can automate
From lead to contact and deal
At the end of a lead-finding workflow, use Sync to CRM to push the lead to ActiveCampaign as a tagged contact and a deal in your sales pipeline.
Start automations with tags
Use Add tag to tag a contact coming from a web form or the chatbot so the ActiveCampaign automation listening to that tag starts.
Send newsletters through ActiveCampaign
Confirmed subscribers from the Newsletter module are imported into the list and the campaign goes out from your account; people who left the list are skipped.
Welcome new subscribers
With the *Contact subscribed* trigger, open a lead in OrqLabs or notify your team about every new subscriber.
Nodes that use this integration
In the workflow editor these nodes run with your ActiveCampaign account.
Sync to CRM / Sheet
Pushes leads to HubSpot, Google Sheets, Notion or your own system, e.g. adding qualified leads to your sales team's spreadsheet.

Good to know
- Campaigns are created through ActiveCampaign's v1 API, because the v3 API can't send campaigns.
- ActiveCampaign doesn't sign webhooks, so OrqLabs verifies a secret token in the webhook URL.
- Bulk imports are processed in the background, so the campaign is created a few minutes after the sync.
- ActiveCampaign allows 5 requests per second per account; above that, OrqLabs waits and retries.
Frequently asked questions
Is a contact who left a list subscribed again?
No. Both the CRM sync and the newsletter import skip the subscription for anyone who unsubscribed from that list before; see the ActiveCampaign guide.
How is the deal value written?
The lead's dealValue or value field is read in the main currency unit and written to ActiveCampaign in cents; the currency comes from the lead or the integration settings.
What should I enter as the API URL?
The https://youraccount.api-us1.com address from Settings → Developer. OrqLabs rejects non-ActiveCampaign addresses so your key can't be sent to another server.
