Google Sheets integration: write leads, posts and reports to a spreadsheet

What it does in OrqLabs

Google Sheets automation is the simplest way to share OrqLabs data across your team. Select Google Sheets as the connected account in a Sync to CRM / Sheet node and set the target spreadsheet, and every incoming item is appended as a new row; mapping keys are column headers and values are OrqLabs expressions such as {{ $json.email }}.

Rows are placed according to the header row: on an empty sheet OrqLabs writes the headers itself, and a new mapping key adds a new column at the end of the header row. Each row also gets a creation time (createdAt) column.

You connect through Google's consent screen, organization-wide. OrqLabs doesn't list your Drive files; it only writes to the spreadsheet whose ID you put in the node.

What you can automate

  • Qualified leads to the sales sheet

Append leads coming out of the Lead Qualifier to your team's shared sheet with Sync to CRM / Sheet; name, email, company, score and status columns fill on every run.

  • Publishing log

Add a Sync to CRM / Sheet node after the Social Publisher to record published posts on a separate “publishing log” tab.

  • Weekly metrics sheet

Append rows from the Google Analytics report or Get post metrics node to a weekly tracking tab and follow trends in the spreadsheet.

  • Friday pipeline export

Schedule a workflow that pulls open leads with Find leads every Friday and appends them to the sheet, so an up-to-date list is ready before the sales meeting.

Nodes that use this integration

In the workflow editor these nodes run with your Google Sheets account.

  • Sync to CRM / Sheet

Pushes leads to HubSpot, Google Sheets, Notion or your own system, e.g. adding qualified leads to your sales team's spreadsheet.

Setup at a glance

  1. Open Integrations → Google Sheets → Connect and choose a Google account with edit access to the spreadsheet.

  2. Approve Sheets access on Google's consent screen; the card shows Connected.

  3. Copy the spreadsheet ID from its URL.

  4. Add a Sync to CRM / Sheet node, select Google Sheets as the account and enter <spreadsheet-id>!TabName in Target.

  5. Map column headers to expressions in Field mapping (e.g. Email → {{ $json.email }}).

  6. Run the workflow with one item and check the new row at the bottom of the sheet.

Requirements

  • A Google account with edit access to the target spreadsheet.
  • The spreadsheet ID: the long string between /d/ and the next / in its URL.
  • Owner or Admin role in OrqLabs; the connection is organization-wide, so no project is selected.

Requested permissions

  • spreadsheets

Good to know

  • Writes are append-only: existing rows are never updated, and sending the same record again adds a new row. Use HubSpot or Notion when you need updates.
  • Always name the tab in Target (e.g. <id>!Sheet1); without a name, a tab called Sheet1 is assumed.
  • Google's spreadsheets permission covers the spreadsheets the connected account can edit; OrqLabs only writes to the one whose ID you put in the node.
  • The Google Sheets API has a per-minute write quota; split exports of hundreds of rows into batches with a Loop node.

Frequently asked questions

Does it update existing rows?

No, this integration only appends rows. Use the HubSpot or Notion integration when records need updating.

Do I have to create the header row first?

No. On an empty sheet OrqLabs creates the headers from your mapping keys, and a key missing from the existing headers is added as a new column.

Can OrqLabs see all the files in my Google Drive?

OrqLabs doesn't list your Drive files and only writes to the spreadsheet whose ID you provide. The spreadsheets permission Google grants does cover all spreadsheets the account can edit.
