What it does in OrqLabs

The Google Business Profile integration connects through OAuth with Google (the business.manage permission). Once connected, OrqLabs lists your accounts and locations; if you have several branches, you pick the right one from Business location in the details panel. Each connection represents one location and belongs to a project.

Google reviews are read on a schedule, just like comments on other platforms, and each review comes with its star rating. The Community Manager writes a short thank-you in your brand voice for 4–5 star reviews. Reviews of 1–3 stars are never answered automatically: even if an agent or workflow drafts a reply, the platform puts it on the Approvals page and notifies you; it's published on Google once you edit and approve it.

The Publish post node publishes local posts as updates, events or offers: up to 1,500 characters of text, one photo and an optional button. Maps and Search views, website clicks, phone calls and direction requests are brought into the Analytics → Google Business tab daily.

What you can automate

  • Google review replies

The Google review replies + weekly business post template reads new reviews daily, thanks 4–5 star reviewers and sends the draft reply for 1–3 star reviews to approval with a notification to you.

  • Weekly local post

In the same template, every Monday the Content Creator drafts an update or offer post with an image; after your approval the Social Publisher posts it to Google.

  • Event and offer announcements

For an event or offer post you enter a title plus start and end dates; offers can carry a coupon code and redemption link, and any post can get a button such as Book, Order or Call.

  • Local performance tracking

Maps/Search views, website clicks, calls and direction requests are tracked on the Analytics page next to your GA4 data.

Agents that work with it

Nodes that use this integration

In the workflow editor these nodes run with your Google Business Profile account.

  • Publish post

Posts text and media to your connected social account right away, e.g. sharing an approved Instagram post instantly.

  • Schedule post

Saves the post to your Content calendar and publishes it at the time you set, e.g. preparing the week's posts on Monday and spreading them out.

  • Get post metrics

Fetches views, likes, comments, shares and clicks for your recent posts, e.g. to build a weekly performance report.

  • Get comments & mentions

Fetches new comments and mentions since the last run, e.g. checking comments every hour and drafting replies.

  • Reply to comment

Replies to a specific comment in your brand's name, e.g. posting an AI-drafted reply you approved on Instagram.

Requirements

  • A verified business profile on business.google.com and the Owner or Manager role on it.
  • Google's approval for Business Profile API access: the OrqLabs platform applies once, and Google expects a profile that has been verified and active for 60+ days.
  • Owner or Admin role in OrqLabs.

Requested permissions

  • business.manage

Good to know

  • Google doesn't open this API to everyone; until access is approved, the integration connects but review, post and performance actions stop with an “API access not approved” warning.
  • Replies to 1–3 star reviews can't be auto-published by any setting; they always wait for your approval.
  • Reviews are read on a schedule rather than by webhook, and Google delivers performance data a few days late.
  • One connection covers a single location, so each branch needs its own connection.

Frequently asked questions

Will the AI answer negative reviews on its own?

No. Replies to 1–3 star reviews always go to the Approvals page and you're notified; the case is also passed to your team in the Inbox as a human-support request. The agent doesn't promise refunds or compensation and makes no legal admissions.

Why is API access approval needed?

Google only opens the Business Profile API to projects whose application it has approved. The OrqLabs platform applies; Google expects a business profile that has been verified and active for at least 60 days.

Can I manage several branches?

Yes. Use a separate connection (and, if you like, a separate project) per branch and pick the location in the details panel.

Which performance metrics come in?

Maps and Search views, website clicks, phone calls and direction requests. For website traffic, you can also connect Google Analytics 4.
