What it does in OrqLabs

Instagram auto-posting runs on Instagram Login: you authorize directly with your Business or Creator account, and the account does not need to be linked to a Facebook Page. OrqLabs exchanges the short-lived token for a 60-day one and renews it before expiry as long as the account is in use.

Every Instagram post needs media: a single image, a carousel of 2–10 items or a video published as a Reel. Images must be JPEG; image generation in the OrqLabs panel produces square JPEGs for Instagram, and when you approve a draft without an image but with an image description, the image is generated during approval. Instagram's API has no native scheduling, so all scheduling, Reels included, waits in the OrqLabs publishing queue.

On the comment side, the Get comments & mentions node collects new comments and replies on your recent posts and filters out your own replies. The Community Manager classifies each comment's sentiment, answers from your knowledge base and hands comments with escalation keywords to the Inbox. Views, reach, saves, shares, likes and comments flow into your reports.

What you can automate

  • Instagram comment auto-reply

The comment and mention auto-reply template fetches new comments every hour and the Community Manager answers them; negative and sensitive comments are routed to you.

  • Visual content pipeline

The Content Creator writes the caption, 5–15 hashtags and an image description for each post. The Generate image button in the Content editor turns that description into an Instagram-ready square JPEG, and after approval the Social Publisher schedules the post for the best slot.

  • Reels and carousel scheduling

A post with one video is published as a Reel and a post with several media items as a carousel; the scheduled time shows up in the Content calendar, where you can drag it.

  • Weekly performance review

The weekly GA4 review template combines Instagram metrics with GA4 data; the Analytics Strategist proposes strategy changes for you to approve.

Nodes that use this integration

In the workflow editor these nodes run with your Instagram Business account.

  • Publish post

Posts text and media to your connected social account right away, e.g. sharing an approved Instagram post instantly.

  • Schedule post

Saves the post to your Content calendar and publishes it at the time you set, e.g. preparing the week's posts on Monday and spreading them out.

  • Get post metrics

Fetches views, likes, comments, shares and clicks for your recent posts, e.g. to build a weekly performance report.

  • Get comments & mentions

Fetches new comments and mentions since the last run, e.g. checking comments every hour and drafting replies.

  • Reply to comment

Replies to a specific comment in your brand's name, e.g. posting an AI-drafted reply you approved on Instagram.

Setup at a glance

  1. Make sure your Instagram account is a Business or Creator account.

  2. On the Integrations page click Connect on the Instagram Business card and pick the project.

  3. Sign in on the Instagram login screen with the account you want to connect; if another Instagram account is open in the browser, log out first.

  4. Approve the permissions; the card then shows the @username.

  5. Use Test connection to confirm the username, account type, follower count and media count.

  6. Before the first real post, run the workflow in test mode; nothing is sent to Instagram in that mode.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect my personal Instagram account?

No. You need to switch to a Business or Creator account; switching is free and does not require a Facebook Page.

How do Instagram comment auto-replies work?

The Get comments & mentions node collects new comments and the Community Manager writes the replies. With auto-reply off, replies wait on the Approvals page; with it on, they are sent directly. See Instagram comment replies for details.

Can it answer Instagram DMs?

No. OrqLabs has no Instagram DM channel; only public comments are answered. For one-to-one messaging, use the AI Chatbot on WhatsApp or Telegram.

Can I schedule Reels?

Yes. A post with a single video is published as a Reel, and if it is scheduled the OrqLabs publishing queue sends it on time. Stories are not supported.

What if a post has no image?

Instagram does not accept posts without media. The Social Publisher skips such a post and states why; in the panel, if the draft has an image description, the image is generated during approval.
