What it does in OrqLabs

OrqLabs connects to Twitch through the official Helix API and the OAuth consent screen. After connecting, two EventSub subscriptions are created for your channel automatically: stream online (stream.online) and new follower (channel.follow). Twitch delivers each event instantly and signed; deliveries with a bad signature or repeats never start a run.

In the Integration event trigger you pick Stream went live or New follower. The Get stream operation of the Twitch node reads whether the channel is live, plus the stream title, game, viewer count and thumbnail – use it right after the trigger for the announcement text and image.

What you can automate

  • Go-live announcement

Stream went live → Get stream → AI writes a short announcement from the title → Publish post shares it on X and Send message posts the link to your Discord channel.

  • Instagram with the thumbnail

The 1280×720 JPEG thumbnail from Get stream becomes the image of an Instagram post, with the stream link in the caption.

  • Thank new followers

The New follower event posts a welcome message in your Discord community channel or adds the follower to a weekly report.

  • After-stream content

When the stream starts, the Content Creator drafts an end-of-day recap post and puts it in the approval queue.

Requirements

  • The channel owner's Twitch account (the follower event needs the owner to connect).
  • A public https webhook address on the platform – ready on the OrqLabs cloud.

Requested permissions

  • user:read:email
  • moderator:read:followers

Good to know

  • The trigger doesn't include the stream title or game – add a Get stream step for those.
  • Right after going live, the thumbnail can be empty for a few minutes.

Frequently asked questions

How fast does the announcement go out?

Twitch sends the stream-online event within seconds and the workflow runs right away. If you use the thumbnail, add a 2–3 minute wait first.

Can I watch another channel's stream?

Triggers only cover the connected channel. Get stream can read whether any channel is live at that moment.

What if events stop arriving?

Twitch cancels the subscription when the permission is revoked. Reauthorize the integration and the subscriptions are created again – see the Twitch guide.
