Kit (ConvertKit) integration: tag subscribers and send newsletters from Kit
Connect your Kit (formerly ConvertKit) account with a v4 API key. Newsletters you build in OrqLabs go out from your own Kit account as broadcasts, workflows tag subscribers, and subscribers who activate in Kit can start a workflow.

What it does in OrqLabs
Kit has no standalone lists; subscribers are grouped with tags. So OrqLabs' Newsletter module uses a Kit tag as the list: confirmed subscribers are added to Kit in bulk batches of 100 and given that tag, and the newsletter is created as a broadcast to the tag's subscribers. People who unsubscribed or bounced in Kit aren't tagged, and OrqLabs never resubscribes anyone.
In workflows, the Kit node adds or updates subscribers, adds or removes tags, finds a subscriber and unsubscribes them. Because tagging starts Kit sequences and automations, you can, for example, drop a lead into the right Kit sequence right after a form submission.
When you connect, OrqLabs creates a signed webhook endpoint in Kit. Pick *Subscriber activated* or *Subscriber unsubscribed* in the Integration event trigger to start a workflow; deliveries are verified with the X-Kit-Signature header. If a broadcast send fails it is never retried automatically, so the same newsletter can't go out twice.
What you can automate
Send newsletters through Kit
The email you build from blocks in the Newsletter module goes to the chosen tag's subscribers as a Kit broadcast; sending fees are on your Kit plan.
From a form into a Kit sequence
After a form or webhook trigger, use the Kit node to subscribe and tag the lead; the tag starts your welcome sequence in Kit.
New subscriber workflows
With the *Subscriber activated* trigger, create a lead record or send your team a Slack note for every new subscriber confirmed in Kit.
Mirror unsubscribes
Use the *Subscriber unsubscribed* event to flag the contact in your CRM; when someone unsubscribes in OrqLabs, their Kit tag is removed too.
Nodes that use this integration
In the workflow editor these nodes run with your Kit (ConvertKit) account.

Good to know
- Only subscribers confirmed in OrqLabs are sent to Kit; people who unsubscribed or bounced in Kit aren't tagged.
- Kit's API doesn't report bounces for broadcasts; stats show recipients, opens, clicks and unsubscribes.
- Kit allows 120 requests per minute per API key; above that, OrqLabs waits and retries.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I pick a tag instead of a Kit list?
Kit has no standalone lists and broadcasts are targeted by tag, so OrqLabs uses the tag you pick as the list. See the Kit guide.
Who pays for sending?
Your Kit plan. OrqLabs doesn't deduct credits for newsletters sent through Kit.
How are Kit triggers verified?
Kit signs every delivery with an endpoint-specific key (HMAC-SHA256); OrqLabs checks the X-Kit-Signature header within a 5-minute window and processes each event once.
